The Circuit is over..... Thank God........

The 2nd Annual WSOP circuit came to an official close with Adam H. taking down top honors and will try to bring home the bacon this January in Tunica. Good luck Adam H. Represent the Little Rock Regulars well.

As far as the game, we saw a game that was a race for 2nd place. Andrew H. played strong and ended up chopping 1st place honors with Adam H. for what is Andrew H.'s first Rock. (Well... Partial Rock) We've now added a .5 to "The Rock" catagory if you chop for first place. Congrats to both Andrew H. and Adam H. Charles R., Gerald N., David N. all tied for 3rd. They all played horrible.

Results: 250 points

  1. Adam H. & Andrew H. {chopped} - 77.5

  2. Adam H. & Andrew H.

  3. David N. - 35

  4. Scott G. - 25

  5. Gerald N. - 20

  6. Charlie R. - 10

  7. Anthony L. - 5

The second game saw, who else, but Adam H. take down yet another Rock. 2009 should be deemed the year of Adam H. Check the resume out.

  • Placed in the 2nd Annual Little Rock Main Event.

  • Won 4 of the 5 WSOP Circuit events.

  • Currently holds a 90+ point lead in the Player of the Year standings over 2nd place (Gerald N.), and over a 220+ point lead over 3rd place (Joey S.).

  • Has been dealt Aces approximately 86 times over the past 6 months. This is a lot considering I have been dealt Aces... ONCE.... Literally......... ONCE.......

  • Never loses

So as you can see, he is rolling strong.

Here are the results from game 2

Results: 200 points

  1. Adam H. - 80

  2. Charlie R. - 50

  3. Gerald N. - 35

  4. Scott G. - 20

  5. Andrew H. - 10

  6. David N. - 5

Deep Stack Extravaganza IV - 2 table - 400 points

It's over now..... It's over now..... I feel likeI can make it, the storm is over now...... No more cloudly days they're all gone, gone away.... I feel like i can make it. The storm is over now, no more cloudy days. They're gone away, I feel like I can make it..... The storm is over now.

They (Adam and Gerald) have gone away indeed!!!!!!!!!!!! The HUGE opressive storm/dual-headed monster was slayed last night by Anthony L. Anthony took home "The Rock" and brought home a new era in Little Rock Regular lore. While the 1st place prize was chopped, the points went down to essentially a coin flip where Darren J's pocket Jacks beat Anthony's (9,10 off-suit).

A BIG CONGRATS TO ANTHONY L!!!

Results:
  1. Darren J. - 160
  2. Anthony L. - 70
  3. David N. - 50
  4. Charles. R. - 40
  5. Adam H. - 30
  6. Joey S. - 20
  7. Gerald N. - 16
  8. Erin H. - 10
  9. Jeremy N. - 4

Player of the Year totals are updated.

4th Leg of WSOP Circuit is in the books!

ADAM H. HAS CLINCHED IT!!!!! In what has turned out to be a complete and total Adam domination whoopin show, Adam H. took home the WSOP Circuit title last night. He also took home "The Rock" for the 80th time in 2009. Andrew H. also showed some wicked poker chops storming into second place. It has now become a tournament for second with Charlie R. and Gerald N. nipping at Andrew H.'s heels. Don't count out David N. he has been known to crack some skulls when his back is against the wall (which it pretty much has been all year). Scott G. and Anthony L. have no chance at 2nd or 3rd and are pretty much playing spoiler for everyone else.

COME ON ADAM H.!!!!!! ROCK TUNICA!!!!!!!!

Last night's finish!
  1. Adam H. 10.5 (100)
  2. Andrew H. 8 (55)
  3. Charlie R. 6 (35)
  4. Gerald N. 5 (25)
  5. Anthony L. 4 (20)
  6. David N. 3 (10)
  7. Scott 2 (5)

Commish's 3rd Annual DEEP STACK Extravaganza!

In what came as absolutely no surprise to any Regular. Gerald N. continued to run EXTREMELY GOOD as he took back "The Rock" as well as the P.O.Y. points lead after a great turnout to the 3rd Annual Deep Stack Extravaganza. With a souped up chip stack and souped up blinds/antes structure the tourney moved at a great pace and ended just short of 4.5 hours. That is pretty good considering we had 2 full tables. We matched our all-time turnout record of 17 and saw some amazing hands take place. Cracked Aces, Kings overthrown by Queens, two pairs counterfeited on the river with a better two pair, and we even saw a straight flush (Which, by the way, was played horribly).

Our next scheduled game is Dec. 8th for the fourth leg of our W.S.O.P. circuit. If Adam doesn't win this thing, it could possibly be considered the greatest meltdown in sports history. See you guys soon and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

200 Points:
  1. Gerald N. -80 points
  2. Darren J. - 35 points
  3. Mike R. - 25 points
  4. Adam H. - 20 points
  5. Scott G. - 15 points
  6. Anthony L. - 10 points
  7. David N. - 8 points
  8. Rob C. - 5 points
  9. Lance S. - 2 points

P.O.Y. are tallied and updated.

3rd Leg of WSOP Circuit is in the books!

The 3rd leg of the WSOP circuit is done. We are on the home stretch to the finals. Last night saw possibly the longest 3 person battle (in Regular history) with chips switching hands just about every hand. Adam H. took it down heads up against Charlie R. Adam also takes a commanding lead in the Circuit standings. Great job Adam! It's also fair to say Anthony L. has all but been eliminated from circuit standing but could really crush the dreams of the top 2 or 3. Watch out for him.

Standings:
1. Adam H. 10.5 (100)
2. Charlie R. 8 (55)
3. Gerald N. 6 (35)
4. David N. 5 (25)
5. Andrew H. 4 (20)
6. Scott G. 3 (10)
7. Anthony L. 2 (5)

Both WSOP and POY standing are Up-to-Date! Don't forget to vote in the new pool and we will be seeing you soon.

Regulars Game October 25th - 1 game (100 points)

In a complete and utter disgrace as a Regular. Gerald N. had to re-buy 86 times and somehow managed to build his stack and play bully for most of the night. Gerald takes back a firm grip on "The Rock" and was quoted as saying "Ya'll fools can't touch this!"

Good job G-Man!

Standings were as follows:
1. Gerald N. - 40 Points
2. Charlie R. - 27 Points
3. David N. - 15 Points
4. Anthony L. - 10 Points
5. Adam H. - 5 Points
6. Dumas - 2 Points
7. Roy S. - 1 Point

The P.O.Y. Standings are updated and we will see you in November for our third leg of the WSOP Circuit!

The Charlie/Adam Debacle

After doing further research to help clarify what happened earlier tonight. The situation arose, where Charlie being a complete dumbass didn't realize that the turn was not the river. In doing so told everyone and God what he had. While he did state what he had, he however did not expose his cards (And very well could have been lying). Adam then called, like the donkey he is, with this moderate low pair club draw. The river drew a blank and both checked. Adam rolled over his 6 high club flush, Charlie rolled over the winning Jack high club flush. Adam, in desperation and anger, stated that Charlie's hand should be ruled dead because this same situation happened to him a long time ago, in which he couldn't state who beat him and which no one could remember ever happening. Charlie laughed and made fun of Adam threatening to post it on the website. Adam then flipped Charlie off, which you can view below.

So who is right? Did Adam have a gripe? Well... Yes and No.... While Charlie did state what he had, which is a violation of Rule 59 of the WSOP 2009 Rules for Poker. The rule states that "Players are obligated to protect the other players in the tournaments at all times whether in a hand or not, players may not a.)Disclose contents of live or folded hands, b.)Advise or criticize play before the action is completed, or c.) Read a hand that hasn't been tabled. BLAH BLAH BLAH... Players who violate this rule are subject to penalty in accordance with Rules 31, 53, and 54." What those rules state are that "In its sole and absolute discretion, Harrah's MAY impose penalties ranging from a verbal warning, one missed hand away from the table up to disqualification and expulsion from all Harrah's casino properties."

What does that mean for us? Not much.... But what can we do to correct the situation? While Charlie did state what he had, he did not do it with malice intent. He wasn't trying to deceive or collude with Adam. He is just a dumbass. Not worthy of punishment. Although, Adam in his anger of playing badly and being upset about getting schooled by Charlie did violate Rule 30 sections A, B, C, D, & E, and more specifically Rule 36 when he flipped Charlie off. The rule states "Harrah's prohibits the use of obscene or foul language in any area of the casino at any time. ANY PLAYER WHO USES LANGUAGE OR MAKES A FOUL, PROFANE, OBSCENE, OR VULGAR STATEMENT, OR SPEAKS ABUSIVELY OR IN AN INTIMIDATING MANNER TO ANOTHER PLAYER WILL BE PENALIZED." Quick to point out the splinter in my hand, but not the wood plank in your own eye, huh Adam......

In conclusion. We just have to set up house rules as with the "Kent exposed hand episode(s)". Which, by the way, is not against WSOP rules. Rule 52: Your hand isn't ruled dead, but you will suffer a penalty beginning the next hand. Check it out. There will be a link at the bottom of the page for the rules. I say that if it isn't intitinal, then no penalty should be assessed. It is obviously a case by case issue.

In essence... I'm right... Adam won..... You suck.

Who is the BEST regular!

The results are in. Charles R. was voted the "best" regular by his peers. He received an overwhelming 50% of the vote. Charles was quoted as saying "I'm the best there is... Was it really ever a question? Didn't think so. Everybody sucks but me." Again, congrats to the "best" regular Charles "The Humble One" R.

Make sure to vote in our new poll! Who is the stinkin' luckiest regular?

P.O.Y. Rules

Here are the P.O.Y. Rules and Updates
  • Points will be determined based on the buy-in. For example if the buy-in is 10, you would add a 0 to the end of it. Meaning there would be 100 points available. If the buy-in is 15 there would be 150 points available. And so on and so forth.
  • The higher you place the more points you receive. First place will ALWAYS get 40% of the points. (Only final table receives points. Final table is classified as the final 9 of a tournament)
  • AMENDMENT 12-18-2009 - As voted on by the attending Regulars unanimously. In the instance that there are more than one table playing, points for that game will double. For example - A 20(0) unit game that has 2 tables will yeild a 400 point payout to the final table, as such a 20(0) unit game that has 3 tables will yeild a 600 point payout to the final table. This will take effect on 12-18-2009 and will not be retroactive to any games prior to this date.
  • Points will be updated, via the website, the following day.
  • You don't get double points if you rebuy. You only get points for your final placing.
  • P.O.Y. will be awarded before the Main Event 2010.
  • For it to be a P.O.Y sanctioned event, At least half of The Regulars must be in attendance and all The Regulars must be aware of said tournament.
  • All who play are eligible for P.O.Y. But to obtain Regular status, you must be in attendance on a regular basis and be voted in by the Founders. (And also pay the $5 fee to change The Rock) You also lose Regular status if you do not show on a regular basis and are voted out by the Founders.
  • The P.O.Y. will take home eternal glory, well at least for the year.
